A small part of my history: I wanted to improve my life quality and started to practice sports; one day while playing tennis life gave me a new challenge, which I’ve been gradually overcoming, it completely changed my life and the way I face it everyday.
Here’s a brief summary of how it happened, and how I now face life. Thank you to the amazing people who have helped me along the way, they became our angels, and now the Angels are the essence of our Foundation.
Today I want to tell you a little bit of my story. My name is Carlos Pardo, born in Colombia, an eternal lover of life and music. On March 11, 2020 I had an accident while playing tennis, it left me quadriplegic, paralyzed from my shoulders down. I was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Ryder Trauma Center in Miami; I spent 17 days in the ICU after Dr. Glenn Manzano performed surgery, and stayed one month in the Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center. I left the hospital with a new challenge, a new life purpose: my full recovery.
