The Burgueton Story

A group of friends form our hometown came together with a heartfelt mission: to support their dear friend Carlos Pardo. Carlos, who needed ongoing therapy, was the inspiration behind a unique fundraising event that has now become a beloved annual tradition. It all began three years ago in a park in Pembroke Pines with a simple yet powerful idea, a barbecue fundraiser aptly named "Burgueton."


The inaugural Burgueton was a humble gathering, marked by the warmth of friendship, the aroma of grilled burgers, and a shared purpose. The friends set up in the park, inviting the community to join them for a day of food, fun, and fundraising. The turnout was heartening, and the funds raised made a significant difference in covering Carlos’s therapy expenses.

Encouraged by the success of the first event, the group committed to making Burgueton an annual celebration. Each year since, the event has grown in a size and spirit, drawing more attendees and creating a stronger sense of community. The park transforms into a vibrant hub of activity, filled with laughter, games, and, of course, the delicious scent of barbecue.


The Burgueton has become more than just a fundraiser; it’s a testament to the power of friendship and community. It provides an amicable space where people can come together, share time, and create lasting memories.
